So They Say It's Your Birthday

Saturday was my little Sweet Pea's fifth birthday.  I am always scared that no one is going to come.  Since all her school friends didn't bother to RSVP or anything I was even more concerned and flinched every time Pea talked excitedly about how her school friends were coming. I had visions trying to explain to her why people hadn't shown up. "They're all mysteriously sick." "I think they got lost." "They're all a big bunch of jerkfaces!"

I didn't have to worry. We actually had a full house. None of her school friends showed up, but she didn't notice. Between all our friends fawning over her, a ruffly pink cake and lots of presents, she didn't even ask about them. She also made a new friend, Red. (not sure how her Mommy feels about using her real name)

She got a DS from us and a ton of DS games from everybody else. We've set some limits on time but still it seems like she' s already beaten half her games already.

We didn't get a whole lot of pictures, but we did get some video, and I mustered all my technical skill to upload it to YouTube so you guys can check it out.

This is her opening gifts. Lots of tissue paper flying around.

And here's her blowing candles out, twice. Excuse my loud singing behind the camera. Also I was pretty excited about the cake I made her, it has icing ruffles.

And excuse me forgetting to turn it off when I set it down. Oops.

She said she had a great birthday party. So that means it was a success!

What's your most memorable birthday party?

Thanks for visiting! I always reply to comments through email so I know you got them. And it makes me do a little happy dance to get them, so just do it. <3
