Got a mission for you to promise to do.

I love our blogging community. It may be silly to people who aren't a part of it but I consider these people to be my friends. (maybe I'm just really sad and lonely) I have laughed and unfortunately cried along with people I have never even seen. I've been to their kids weddings, births and even held some hands during illness. Or at least it feels like it.  Thank you so much for all your kind words about my Mother's Day post. It was actually pretty cathartic to fight write it out.

But now we have something that's a really big deal and I need you guys to help me with it.  Michelle at Pixie Dreams is going through every mother's nightmare right now. Her 16 month old has cancer.   She has neuroblastoma, and in very young children it can just go away or turn into a non-cancerous growth. (I tell you this, not to diminish what they are going through, but to add some hope with a best case scenario) They have tons of tests ahead of them, which I'm sure Michelle will be feeling just as much as her little monkey. So what they need right now is support. So please go to Michelle's page. Follow her and leave a comment on this post, "The Stuff Nightmare's Are Made of"

Ian at Daily Dose of Reality is the mastermind behind this mission, go to his page and steal the badge so you can show your support any time someone goes to your blog. Send more people there and keep them in your thoughts.

  1. Thank you for sharing. My heart goes out to the Mom and her child. That is the stuff nightmares are made of. And I agree. As a blogging community we have to power to uplift each other and join in life together.

  2. Michelle's story is heartbreaking and I have been praying for her since learning about the situation last week.

    Thanks for publicizing this.

  4. It makes my heart swell to see so many people rallying behind Michelle this way. Before I started blogging, I had no idea that there was such a tight knit community of people out there on the internet that would support each other in this way. I'm so proud and happy to be a part of it.

My thoughts are with Monkey and the rest of Michelle's family.
